Challenge

Owned by Singapore Technologies, the vision for Chartered Semiconductor was to position the foundry as one of the world's top, offering leading edge technologies enabling today's system-on-chip designs.

Approach

Halleck developed a mark to represent forward and upward movement, employing visual elements of integrated circuit manufacturing. Sensitive to Asian sensibilities, we employed a Feng Shui consultant to assist in developing our visual expression. We applied the mark to stationery systems and interior and exterior signage. We developed a booklet describing the significance of the new logo and its impact on corporate culture for distribution to all employees.

Results

Chartered Semiconductor has maintained this logo for over 10 years and continues to hold its position as a market leader in the industry.
