Halleck realized that to elicit trust from the broad retail and institutional investment community, the brand needed to convey confidence, strength and security. Halleck developed a logo representing focus and substance, employing three dimensional rendering and a bright light at the center of the mark. The typography was selected for its conservative and assured form, underpinning the mark.


Emergent fell victim to the crash of the internet bubble. While they were able to deliver on their promise of providing critical investment information to the savvy, they were not capable of monetizing their offering enough to offset the cost.
